📍 Location: Oakey, Queensland
💰 Pay: Based on qualifications/experience

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join our team at 'CWA House', our 40-bed facility in picturesque Oakey, where the environment offers complete serenity in seamless coherence with its surroundings. 

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals, ensuring all dietary needs are met

• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including food storage and safe handling

• Build positive, collaborative working relationships with staff

• Monitor inventory and order supplies as required

• Assist with seasonal menu planning

👤 About You

You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. 

✅ Essential Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery

• Proven experience in a similar environment

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure

• Two recent managerial referees

• Police Clearance (provided free of charge)

• Compassionate, patient and positive attitude

⭐ Advantageous

• Safe Food Handling Training – covers safe preparation, storage and service of food, including hygiene and cross-contamination prevention

• Chemical Handling Certificate – covers safe use, storage and disposal of cleaning and sanitising chemicals, PPE requirements, and understanding Safety Data Sheets

• Previous experience in aged care or healthcare environments
