We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Service Employees to join our team at Mackellar Apex residential aged care facility in Gunnedah, NSW. In this vital role, you’ll provide essential support and care to our elderly residents — helping them with daily living activities while promoting dignity, wellbeing, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and dressing

• Serve meals and assist residents with eating

• Observe and report any changes in resident health or behaviour to nursing staff

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and general movement around the facility

• Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection prevention protocols to ensure a safe environment

About You

You are a qualified, caring, and empathetic individual who wants to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of others. You value respect, dignity, and the wellbeing of elderly Australians.

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Physically capable and trained in safe manual handling

• Confident using smartphones/tablets and learning new systems

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Two recent managerial referees

• National Police Clearance (provided free of charge)

• A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working in a residential aged care setting

• Medication Administration certification

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
