About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our team at our 138-bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Inverell, NSW. As a Casual Cook, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality meals that support the health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of our residents. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with resident dietary requirements
- Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal meal preparation
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Work collaboratively with the broader residential care team
- Ensure meals are delivered in a timely, safe, and professional manner
About YouEssential Requirements- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar cooking role
- Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude
- Ability to provide 2 recent managerial referees
- Willingness to complete a Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Desirable- Previous experience in Residential Aged Care
