Cook – Full Time

📍 Location: Millmerran, QLD
💰 Pay: Based on qualifications and experience

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join our team at Yallambee, our warm and welcoming 60-bed home located in the rich agricultural region of the Condamine and Macintyre catchments, proudly serving the Millmerran community.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs

• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment, including correct food storage

• Build positive and collaborative working relationships with staff

• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed

• Contribute to seasonal menu planning

👤 About You

You will bring at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of older Australians.

✅ Essential Requirements

• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery

• Experience in residential aged care or similar environments

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Two recent managerial referees

• Compassionate, patient and positive attitude

• Safe Food Handling Training

• Chemical Handling Certificate

• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or high-volume catering settings
