Here at McLean Care we know that the current challenges facing our communities has reinforced the strong priority and need for Quality and Infection Prevention and Control clinicians to have an integral role in the aged care sector.

 

That’s why we are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse or Allied Health Practitioner with a strong background in Infection Control for a dedicated position to provide specialist Quality and Infection Control expertise across our residential and home and community care divisions.  

 

This position will report directly to the Manager of Clinical Governance, Quality and Risk and will entail being an Organisation wide resource to ensure a high standard of care and service delivery is achieved and compliance with all quality and infection prevention and control related areas is maintained. 

 

With a flexible location throughout our service areas of New England and Northwest NSW or Darling Downs Queensland this role can be tailored to suit the lifestyle needs of the successful candidate. There will be some travel requirements throughout NSW and QLD.

 

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Tertiary qualification in nursing or allied health with current registration with AHPRA.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Practitioner in similar leadership roles in Health or Aged Care
  • Extensive experience in quality and /or infection prevention & control in acute, sub-acute or aged care sector
  • Experience in evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to maximise productive working relationships and effective change.
  • A true passion for care, continuous quality improvement and the aged care industry.
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current Influenza vaccination
  • Post graduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Management or relevant clinical areas is desirable.
