About the Role

We are seeking a highly passionate Physiotherapist Aide to join our care team! This role will see you providing quality, person-centred care to all residents (including those with higher needs and challenging behaviours). The focus of this role is to enhance the quality of life for our residents by building independence, supporting their emotional needs and providing quality, individually tailored support. Your ability to forge strong working relationships will also see you thrive!

This role is on offer for 72 hours per fortnight and reports to our Wellness Team Leader. Our ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

• Cert III individual support and/or Cert IV in Allied Health
• Demonstrated experience in providing Physio care to the elderly
• Demonstrated training and knowledge of infection control and work health and safety principles and guidelines
• Ability to prioritise workloads
• Computer literacy
• Effective communication skills
• Current First aid/CPR certificate
• Understanding of WHS Principles
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Code of Conduct

Desirable:

• Experience with Dementia specific residents
• Familiarity with Physiotherapy Registration Act and the Australian Physiotherapy Association Guidelines
