⏰ Shifts: Available across morning and afternoon rosters.

McLean Care is currently seeking reliable, caring and team-focused Support Workers - Non-Direct Care to join our Residential Aged Care team at Yallambee in Millmerran, QLD. This is a rewarding opportunity to support the daily operations of our aged care home through hospitality, food services, cleaning and general support duties.

About the role

As a Support Worker in a Non-Direct Care, you will help maintain a safe, clean, welcoming and well-supported environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with meal preparation, plating and serving
• Supporting dining and hospitality services for residents
• Cleaning and sanitising shared spaces, resident areas and service areas
• Helping maintain a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment
• Working closely with hospitality, care and support teams
• Supporting the daily operational needs of the home
• Providing respectful, friendly and reliable service to residents and colleagues

Available Shifts May Include:

• Cleaning
  0700–1500
• Laundry
  0600–1400
• Food Assistant
  0600–1430
  1100–1800
  1300–1900

About you

You are dependable, practical and kind, with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to contribute to the wellbeing of older people. You take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team and understand the importance of creating a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services, support services or aged care
• A friendly, respectful and compassionate approach
• Reliability and flexibility across rostered shifts
• Physical capability to safely perform cleaning and hospitality duties
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A willingness to pitch in and support the broader team
• Basic computer literacy for simple administrative tasks

Eligibility

• Be currently residing in Australia with full working rights (please note that sponsorship is not available for this position).
• Be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997.
