About the Role In this hands-on role, you’ll support our residents with daily living activities in a way that values their dignity, comfort, independence, and wellbeing. From personal care and mobility support to helping with meals and providing companionship, your work will contribute to a home-like environment where residents feel respected, heard, and safe. The responsibilities Supporting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care Assisting with meal delivery and supporting residents who need help eating Observing and reporting any changes in health or behaviour to clinical staff Helping residents with safe transferring and mobility Encouraging independence and maintaining a calm, caring, and respectful environment Participating in basic wound care and medication support (if appropriately certified) Keeping accurate documentation of care provided Promoting resident safety, choice, and wellbeing at all times
About You You’re a naturally caring person with a steady, calm presence. You find purpose in being there for others and take pride in helping people live with dignity and independence. You’re a team player, detail-oriented, and confident using mobile devices or tablets to complete documentation. You’ll also have: A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent Experience working in aged care or a similar role Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Physical capability to safely perform the requirements of the role Basic computer and tech literacy (comfortable using a smartphone or tablet) First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to obtain) A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain – we’ll help with this)
Desirable (but not essential) qualifications and experience include: Certification in medication administration Experience supporting people with dementia or disability Additional aged care or health support qualifications
