💰 Remuneration: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
📄 Hours: 76 hours per fortnight About the RoleMcLean Care is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Cook to join our team at Yallambee, our warm and welcoming 60-bed residential aged care home in Millmerran, Queensland. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of older Australians by delivering nutritious, high-quality meals in a supportive and values-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen, including correct food storage and handling Build positive and collaborative relationships with staff and residents Monitor stock levels and coordinate food and supply ordering Contribute to seasonal menu planning and continuous improvement of food services
Essential RequirementsCertificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Minimum 12 months’ experience in residential aged care Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and a team-focused approach Two recent managerial referees Compassionate, patient and positive attitude
