About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of nutritious, well-balanced meals that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents. You will play an important role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient kitchen environment, while contributing to a positive dining experience.

This is a casual opportunity, offering flexibility while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements and nutritional standards
• Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment at all times
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management
• Contribute to seasonal menu planning and continuous improvement of meal services
• Work collaboratively with care and clinical staff to support resident needs and preferences

About You

You are a motivated and reliable Cook who is passionate about food quality, safety, and delivering a positive experience for others. You thrive in a team environment and bring a strong sense of accountability and care to your work.

You will bring:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar cooking role
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach
• Two recent managerial referees

Highly Regarded

• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality
• Safe Food Handling and/or Chemical Handling certification
• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or large-scale catering environments
