About the Role

We are seeking an experienced trade qualified Cook to join our team at our 138-bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Inverell, NSW - where you will play an important role in delivering high-quality meals that support the health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with resident dietary requirements
  • Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal meal preparation
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Work collaboratively with the broader residential care team
  • Ensure meals are delivered in a timely, safe, and professional manner

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a similar cooking role
  • Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude
  • Ability to provide 2 recent managerial referees
  • Willingness to complete a Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Residential Aged Care
